In the new residential complex, developed in agreement with the Municipality of Prato and supported by a contribution from the Tuscany Region, one in five housing units will be allocated to the Third Sector
The management is entrusted to Abitare Toscana, already the technical-social advisor of the Fund
Prato, February 28, 2025 – With the latest 22 new social housing units on Via del Purgatorio in Prato, the allocation process of Lotto II, acquired in 2022 and completed by the Fondo Housing Toscano, has been successfully concluded. The operation, valued at 4 million euros, is part of a broader redevelopment program called "Gello Living," which includes a total of 120 affordable rental units, made possible through a successful public-private partnership.
The initiative is promoted by the Fondo Housing Toscano, a platform managed by Investire SGR (Banca Finnat Group) and supported by the Fondo Investimenti per l’Abitare of CDP Real Asset SGR (CDP Group), the Tuscany Region, and the main banking foundations in the area, including Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Prato.
This initiative complements the investments already undertaken by the Fund in the Municipality of Prato, exceeding 50 million euros for the development of approximately 400 social housing units. One in five residences will be allocated to the Third Sector to promote integrated housing services related to personal care.
The social agreement signed between the Fund and the Municipality of Prato, and updated last December, allows for the extension of the Gello Living Social Project, already active in the previously developed lots, to this latest phase. The allocation process for traditional residential units has been completed, and the property management is handled by Abitare Toscana, which has been the Fund’s technical-social advisor for over 10 years.
